Over the years I have successfully trained many dogs for various types of obedience. When it was time to train "Wendy", I began with methods familiar to me. Despite Wendy's intelligence and high energy, it was obvious she was not enjoying the process. Clearly it was time to embrace a different training style, one that would offer not only successful obedience but also provide fun for the dog and handler. Karen MacIntyre's training methods taught me how to achieve that goal.

      A HUGE thank you to Karen MacIntyre, Allen Welch and Nicholas Hodgen. It is hard to find somebody willing to take on the task of teaching someone with no experience the sport of Schutzhund, and even tougher when that person comes with a dog that has had bad foundation training.
     Karen has shared her wealth of knowledge, always trying new ideas to find out what works best and always looking out for the best interest of the dogs.
     I found Karen through a mutual friend; I went to see her with my dog, a dog that I was told was "too much dog" for a female handler and a dog that was “a difficult dog" for a first time handler. Thanks to Karen, Allen and Nick, that dog just earned his IPO3!!!!! Thank you all for all of your hard work, endurance and encouragement....never could have done it without you!
